Virginia Leader – March 2011

PEARISBURG, Va. — Chef Walter Scheib had two stories to tell. One was his experience as the chef to America’s chief executive and the First Family for 11 years. The second was an intimate view of the two First families he served while employed at the White House.

These stories were only part of the experience guests shared with Scheib at the Celebrity Chef dinner on March 25 and 26 at the Palisades Restaurant in Eggleston, Va. The Palisades Restaurant in Eggleston was selected again this year as a stop on the national Celebrity Chef Tour. It was a sold-out one-night event in March of 2010.“This year, we extended Scheib’s visit to two nights. One night was not enough to accommodate all of our guests who are interested in having this unique dining experience,”  Palisades owner Shaena Muldoon said. “Chef Scheib’s amazing food and entertaining stories about cooking for the First Families guaranteed a memorable night for all of our attendees.”

The Celebrity Chef Tour travels to cities around the country bringing once-in-a-lifetime dinners to venues in New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia and Baltimore.
